Certification Process

This course includes our entire line of trainings - from fundamentals to advanced document automation. In addition to basic concepts of how to use the software, you'll learn:

  • Template Mark Up and Automation - Transfer knowledge from the subject matter expert to the template author
  • HotDocs Template Types - Learn the differences between HotDocs Form and Text Templates
  • Answer File Management - Save answers and apply them to future documents
  • Template Library Management - Create, save, and retrieve templates
  • Component File Management - Create and manage template components
  • Scripting in HotDocs Templates - Learn how to think in terms of the scripting logic used in HotDocs software
  • Creating and Managing Computations - Calculate number, date, true/false, and text values
  • Test Automation - Ensure that your templates are working correctly using the proper method
  • Insert templates - Learn how to create boilerplate language and then how to insert it in a template
  • HotDocs Automator - Learn tips and tricks in the tool used to create HotDocs Form Documents
  • Answer Sources - Connect a dialog to an answer file that contains information a user can select as an answer
  • Distributing templates to other users - Use the HotDocs Publishing Wizard to create template packages for distribution to other users
  • HotDocs Database Connection - Learn how to link templates to a database table and retrieve information from it using the HotDocs Database Connection

At the end of the three day course, you'll receive the written HotDocs Certification Test. This test is designed to give you experience in the skills you have learned in the class. When the written test has been passed, we will work with you to set a time to give the final oral exam.
