HotDocs Server 10

HotDocs Server 10 is a technology that enables web-based document assembly, allowing you to deploy HotDocs templates via the Internet, either on a consumer-facing web site or on a corporate intranet site. HotDocs Server 10 must be deployed in conjunction with a web application, commonly referred to as a host, which serves as an interface for managing and accessing web-based HotDocs templates. Several web applications are available (HotDocs Workspace, HotDocs Workspace for SharePoint, and HotDocs Template Portal), or you can either have HotDocs consultants integrate HotDocs Server into your existing intranet application or build a new host application to your exact specifications.

HotDocs Server 10 is a sub-surface technology, meaning that system users never directly interact with it. Instead, HotDocs Server 10 functions to deliver template interviews to the browser and then uses the resulting answers to generate a custom document.

Perhaps the best way to understand HotDocs Server 10 is to compare it to an internal combustion engine. By itself, it doesn't do much - makes noise, vibrates, turns an output shaft. But, when you build an apparatus around it, say a car for example, it becomes an immediate game changer.
