What’s all the fuss about HotDocs Document Services?

If you weren’t able to visit our booth at LegalTech New York last week, you may not know what HotDocs Document Services is. In a nutshell, we believe Document Services is the most exciting technology to hit the U.S. legal market since HotDocs was first introduced.

We came up with the idea for this product after lots of feedback from you—our loyal customers. For many months, we’ve been getting dozens upon dozens of phone calls from you, expressing concerns and asking for a solution to the same problem. The legal market is constantly changing—quasi-legal service providers (you know who they are) are saturating prime-time television spots with advertisements and offering low-quality documents at dirt-cheap prices. The result is that legitimate law practices (like yours) are suffering . . . but we feel your pain, and we’ve got the solution.

With HotDocs Document Services, even small law firms can gain all the benefits of HotDocs Server without the added expense and manpower that Server requires. Document Services is a cloud-based solution that combines the power of your existing HotDocs templates with an innovative new feature called “client interviews” (you’re gonna love this part most of all—keep reading!)

Here’s how it works:

  1. Upload your templates from HotDocs Developer 10.2 into your personalized Document Services portal.
  2. When a client (or potential client) contacts you and wants to have a document drafted, simply log in to Document Services and use the tools on the site to send him or her an email with a link to a client interview.
  3. After clicking on the link, your client can log in to your firm’s Document Services site and answer all the questions in the interview.
  4. When the interview is complete, you will receive an email. You can then log back in to Document Services and use the answers to assemble completed, personalized documents for your client in just a few minutes.

It’s as simple as that! You can now go from client contact to finished documents faster than you ever thought possible, enabling you to charge less per document and expand your client base. No client software required. No IT administration. No up-front server costs. And you’ll also get industry-leading security and 24/7 access to your Document Services portal.

But wait—we’ve saved the best for last. You might be thinking, “Can my small law firm afford Document Services?” The answer is a resounding “Yes!” Document Services is only $99 per month for up to five users, with the ability to add as many more as you would like at small, incremental fees. Plus, your first 100 client interviews are free. And after the first 100, they will only cost you $1 each.  We also offer volume discounts on both users and interviews, so small and large firms can get the best possible deals. Best yet, you can try Document Services for free for 30 days.

HotDocs Document Services is available today. So give us a call at 800-500-3627 and get started on implementing the best technology your law firm has seen or will see for a loooooong time.
