Thomson Reuters uses HotDocs document assembly software

Thomson Reuters uses HotDocs behind the scenes of some of its most popular products, including CheckPoint and AccuDraft in the United States and SoftDocs in Australia.

CheckPoint is used by the large majority of all the AMLaw and Fortune 100 companies. Interactive Decision Tools, an application available to CheckPoint subscribers, helps tax professionals, accountants, and auditors resolve issues in their daily workflow. Through HotDocs technology, dynamic tools are created in a question-and-answer interview format that guides professionals through the decision-making process for a particular issue.

AccuDraft’s DocsEngine for Pensions automates the entire pension document process, enabling pension plan providers to focus more of their efforts of customer service and other retirement planning activities, instead of spending their valuable time creating documents. It also allows users to upload their own content—a feature that is usually not available under a standard Thomson Reuters publishing account.

Softdocs specializes in providing automated precedent templates and document management to law firms throughout Australia. Utilizing HotDocs with the Lawdocs interface, Softdocs provides a simple-to-use, efficient, and effective method of producing court documents, forms, and letters for most jurisdictions in Australia.

Thomson Reuters is the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, combining industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to leading decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, healthcare, science and media markets. Thomson Reuters was named one of the Best Global Brands of 2011 by Interbrand, received top honors in the 2012 National Law Journal , won the Technical Analyst’s 2012 award for the best news analytics software, and was ranked #1 among financial data service companies in Fortune Magazine’s 2012 list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
