HotDocs Delivers Biggest and Best Global User Conference

Market-leading document automation specialist, HotDocs, today reported on the largest and most successful HotDocs User Group (HUG) in the company’s history.

HUG is HotDocs’ flagship, global event and took place in London on 14 and 15 June 2017. A truly international event, the company welcomed over 100 customers and partners from nearly a dozen countries including Australia, United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Romania, the Czech Republic and, of course, the United Kingdom.

HUG 2017 brought together clients, partners, industry experts and the HotDocs team to learn about new product developments at HotDocs, to hear customer success stories, to share information and to discover new and innovative uses of HotDocs document automation technology.

Lois McLuckie, Head of Marketing at HotDocs, said: “HUG 2017 was a resounding success and I’d like to thank all of our delegates for their attendance and engagement. This year, we extended the scope of the event, adding different streams and content to our usual mix of best practice use cases, new product updates and company news. Feedback so far has exceeded our expectations and I’m delighted that our attendees found HUG 2017 so beneficial.”

With an agenda that included technology and business streams, client success stories from leading banks, law and property firms, a keynote address from tech industry evangelist and author Dave Coplin, it was a full program that drew praise from attendees. The event was rounded off with gala dinner that included an awards ceremony and entertainment from renowned magician/comedian Pete Firman.

Document automation consultant Terry Ponsford commented: “I’m still buzzing from a packed second day at HUG 2017! As well as hearing of experiences from both new and established clients, not to mention a peek at exciting new developments, the keynote address from Dave Coplin was funny, warmly entertaining and extremely thought provoking. The entire experience was rounded off with an excellent dinner, awards ceremony and laugh out loud entertainment from Pete Firman. If you missed it, do make a point of attending next year, as this event is getting better and better! Thanks to all at HotDocs for making this such a memorable event.”

HUG attendees learned, networked and had fun at the event. Feedback to date has listed “a noticeable buzz”, “good organization with an interesting mix of topics and presentations”, “great event – a really good atmosphere” and “great couple of days – already looking forward to the next one”.

Delegates at HUG 2017 came from a wide range of industries and professions, with technical and senior management representatives from banking, law, real estate, insurance, local government and large enterprise in attendance.

Steve Spratt, COO of HotDocs, concluded: “HUG is a pivotal event for HotDocs, as it allows us to engage with our clients and partners face to face, encouraging direct feedback on how our technology is being used and providing us with insight on what our users would like to see in terms of product development. There is no more important event in the HotDocs calendar and I’m delighted to have welcomed delegates from so many different industries and geographies. Next year, we will raise the bar even higher! In the meantime, for those North American clients and partners that couldn’t make the global event, we are running a regional HUG US in New York in early November and I look forward to seeing them there, where we plan to showcase new technology developments and share new customer success stories.”

Next year’s global HUG will take place on 4 and 5 October – location to be announced in due course.
