CIO Review Lists HotDocs among 20 Most Promising Compliance Technologies for 2014

Document generation leader recognized for its ability to mitigate risk by enforcing compliance in official documents

Lindon, UT and Edinburgh, Scotland—HotDocs, the market leader in document generation software, has been selected by CIO Review Magazine for its annual list of the 20 Most Promising Compliance Technology Solution Providers. CIO Review, which focuses on enterprise-class technologies that “redefine businesses,” compiled its list based on each vendor’s ability “to fulfill the burning need of cost-effective and flexible solutions to tackle complex compliance challenges.”

According to CIO Review, “Corporations have become concerned about compliance because of increasingly stringent and complex legal requirements,” which have resulted from ongoing developments such as Dodd-Frank, PCI-DSS, GLBA, and Sarbanes-Oxley. The magazine’s selection panel evaluated “hundreds of compliance technology providers that own innovative technologies” before making its final selection.

“HotDocs Corporation has been on our radar for some time for stirring a revolution in the compliance space,” said Harvi Sachar, Publisher and Founder, CIO Review, “and we are happy to showcase them this year due to their continuing excellence in delivering top-notch technology-driven solutions. HotDocs Corporation’s solutions continued to break new ground within the past year benefiting its customers around the globe, and we’re excited to have them featured on our top companies list.”

HotDocs customers, including many of the largest banks, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies in the world, report that HotDocs provides them a high level of document control, ensuring that system users follow strict guidelines when generating documents. Dave Lampert, President of the company’s US division commented: “While HotDocs significantly speeds up the production of many types of legal documents, such as contracts, HR forms, and insurance policies, many of our customers view the most compelling part of our value proposition as the enforcement of best practices in the document generation process. The control that HotDocs affords organizations minimizes human error in documents and ensures compliance.”

In 2013, ILTA’s annual technology survey showed that HotDocs has a 60% market share of the document assembly market for large law firms. In Q4 of 2014, Gartner named HotDocs a “best of breed” technology for content generation, and in 2014, Gartner named HotDocs a Cool Vendor for content management.
